ABOUT MEDJUGORJE NEWS AND THE SONG IMMACULATE MARY
This Marian song was first inspired in Medjugorje. The Devotion Immaculate Mary written in Medjugorje in 1997 is dedicated to the Memory of Fr Slavko Barbaric who died on the 24th November 2000 and the song was inspired by the Queen of Peace. Penned in only a few minutes but through the grace of Our Lady, who's Lyrics came through so clearly to me that I immediately got to work on the tune, on my guitar, in the guest house I was staying in .It was Fr Slavko who first asked me to sing the Song Immaculate Mary in Saint James Church in 1997. Father Slavko and Mother's VillageFor those interested to go on Pilgrimage to Medjugorje the anniversary of Father Slavko is on the 24th of November 2007. Father Slavko Barbaric passed away at 3.30 p.m whilst walking The Way Of The Cross on Mount Krizevac which he did most Friday's for Pilgrims and parishioners alike. He felt some pain so he then sat down on a large rock, then layed on the ground, lost consciousness and gently passed away. Please help me in my quest to make a difference, maybe you can reflect on happier times. Times shared with Father Slavko maybe climbing the Hill of Apparitions, or Mount Krizevac. But don't be to sad, Our Lady tells us Father Slavko is in Heaven. On November 25, 2000 the Queen of Peace left this message "Dear children! Today when Heaven is near to you in a special way, I call you to Prayer so that through prayer you place God in the first place. Little children, today I am near you and I bless each of you with my Motherly Blessing so that you have the strength and love for all the people you meet in your earthly life and that you can give God’s love. I rejoice with you and I desire to tell you that your Brother Slavko, has been born into Heaven and intercedes for you. Thank you for having responded to my call. Please look down on us Father Slavko and intercede for us. Allow us to make even a small difference to those Children in Mother's village which you founded.
